Consultant

The ideal candidate for this position must be motivated by solving complex problems. This person must have the ability to understand and articulate solutions to customers and the Sphinx community. We see this position expanding as the ninja progresses through his/her training. Meaning based on support performance metrics, knowledge growth, and evaluations this ninja could mature into a principal consultant or an engineer depending on their qualifications and career-path desires.

Qualifications

Must Have Skills

• Fluent in English: both spoken & written
• Evidence/Interest in solving complicated problems
• Ability to maintain code in PHP/Perl/Python
• Strong experience in UNIX-type OS
• Strong understanding of the LAMP Stack
• Version control systems usage experience (svn, hg, git)
• Comfortable in Blogging, Public Speaking, and Travel

Preferred Skills

• MySQL experience (both administration and usage)
• Windows experience (experience with MSSQL, ASP and .NET platforms)
• Knowledge of Sphinx from installation to configuration
