Oct 24, 2012. London Calling for Sphinx Training on Dec 3rd

London is a city synonymous for catapulting individuals such as Shakespeare, Newton, Jagger, Clapton, and even Hendrix to ‘Rock-Star’ status. Join Andrew Aksyonoff, the founder of Sphinx, on December 3rd at Percona Live London 2012 for some hands on training and the opportunity to become the Sphinx Rock-Star in your organization!

Maybe the term Rock-Star is a  little to extreme, yet with the foundation set during Andrew’s tutorial Full-text search: from scratch to HA Cluster, you’ll be well on your way to Sphinx search greatness. This tutorial will demo and relay best practices centered around the three ‘I’s of Sphinx (installation, integration, and indexing), delve into search quality, and even describe how-to architect a Sphinx HA Cluster.

Training Objectives:

  • Getting started with Sphinx. Using SphinxQL and SphinxAPI. And a 20-minute integration demo.
  • Managing indexes. Disk indexes, delta scheme. Realtime indexes.
  • Search quality. What is relevance. Judgments, metrics, formulas, experiments. What else is there to search quality.
  • Cluster setups. Distributed indexes. Capacity planning. HA tools in Sphinx.

To register or for more information on the conference schedule proceed directly to Percona Live London. If you would like to see about a special discount for Sphinx registrants or just have questions regarding the Sphinx tutorial/training session please contact-us directly.
