Apr 18, 2013. Sphinx @ Percona Live: Update

The Percona Live: MySQL User Conference is just around the corner! Before we begin our trek to San Jose, we want to provide you with one last announcement about our upcoming activities.

First of all, as we’ve previously mentioned, Andrew Aksyonoff (Sphinx’s founder) is going to be delivering a Sphinx tutorial on the 22nd of April at 1:30pm – 4:30pm in Ballroom H. Read more here.

And, we will also be hosting a “Birds of a Feather” session on the 23rd of April from 6:00pm – 7:00pm @ Ballroom B. This BOF’s purpose will be to aid and educate attendees on how to identify and understand what FTS tool works best for their specific needs.  Read more here.

But, that’s not all! Another opportunity to talk about Sphinx became available and we were happy to take it. Now, Andrew will also be speaking on the 24th of April at 4:30pm – 5:20pm in Ballroom E. During this time, he will cover the newly added features (in Sphinx 2.1.1-beta) and their practical usage in MySQL/Sphinx applications. Some highlights are: creating custom ranking formulas, improved morphology support, HA tools, and more. Read more here.

If you haven’t done so already, register here:  http://bit.ly/14au67Z. Use code “SponsorSQL” at checkout for 15% off and when you arrive, stop by booth 302 to meet a Sphinx in person!

See you there!
